Job Description:
A company is looking for an Outpatient CDI Specialist-4.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct concurrent reviews of medical records to ensure accurate
clinical documentation
Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve documentation of
diagnoses and procedures
Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for outpatient encounters while
ensuring compliance with coding standards
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree
in nursing required
Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 3 years of experience in
clinical documentation improvement or coding
Active certification from AAPC, AHIMA, or ACDIS required;
candidates must obtain certification within the first year if not
already certified
Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and E/M coding guidelines
Experience in an outpatient or acute care setting preferred
