Key Responsibilities:

• Preventative Maintenance: Regularly inspect, clean, lubricate, and maintain machinery to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. -
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and fix mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems on machine shop equipment. -
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. -
• Parts Management: Order, inventory, and manage replacement parts for machinery. -
• Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedures in the machine shop. -
• Coordination: Collaborate with production personnel and supervisors to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime. -
• Documentation: Prepare reports documenting work performed, including maintenance schedules and any issues encountered. -
• Training: May train other employees on basic maintenance procedures. -
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures, and address them promptly. -
• Quality Control: Ensure that all repairs and maintenance work is performed safely and correctly. - - Skills and Qualifications:
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems. -
• Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. -
• Repair Skills: Proficiency in repairing and replacing parts on various types of machinery. -
• Record Keeping: Ability to maintain accurate records and reports. -
• Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety regulations and procedures in a machine shop environment. -
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with production personnel and supervisors. -
• Mechanical Aptitude: A natural inclination towards working with machines and equipment. -
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment. - - Pay: -$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
