Metro Area (D.C., Maryland, Virginia). Candidates can be located within a 2-hour commute.About the job:This role includes planning, organizing, staffing, directing, integrating, and controlling activities to meet schedule and performance requirements. The SME manages day-to-day operations, including administrative functions, risk assessment, identifying assumptions, and resolving interpersonal conflicts. The candidate will be responsible for the duties, tasks, and activities required to ensure program/project success and actively participate in the management decision-making process.Must-Have RequirementsSecurity Clearance:

  • Must possess an active IT-2 security clearance for non-critical sensitive information, verified by a current Tier 3 (T3) or National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at the time of application.Certification:
    • Must hold a relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.Note: Candidates must meet all clearance and certification requirements at the time of application. Applications without these qualifications will not be considered.Required Skills:
      • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT/logistics project or program management, with specific expertise in EDI/XML
      • Supervisory experience in managing teams and operations
      • Experience in DoD logistics functions, including finance, supply, contract administration, transportation, and project management
      • Proficiency in using Microsoft Project for planning and tracking
      • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
      • Ability to assess risks, identify assumptions, and resolve interpersonal conflicts
      • Strong organizational and decision-making skills to ensure program successPreferred Skills:
        • Experience working in an Agile or other structured project management environment
        • Familiarity with federal government contracting processes
        • Advanced proficiency in risk management and conflict resolution
        • Knowledge of additional project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
        • Experience supporting DoD or federal agency programs
        • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify process improvementsSalary Range: $135,000 - $151,000 base
