JOB DESCRIPTION
BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as an Associate Regulatory
Analyst, Regulatory Analyst, or Senior Regulatory Analyst at our
Headquarters in Glen Allen, VA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
--- Tracks filing deadlines and ensures the timely filing of FERC
applications.
--- Tracks filing deadlines and ensures the timely filing of FERC
compliance documents, to include annual, quarterly, monthly and
weekly reporting.
--- Tracks FERC docket for activity related to BHE projects and
other relevant regulatory matters.
--- Evaluates projects for classification of FERC filing and
assesses and advises project team on associated regulatory
requirements.
--- Evaluates regulatory timelines to develop project
schedules.
--- Assimilates and prepares data for FERC regulatory filings, to
include applications and reporting.
--- Monitors and analyzes regulatory changes to ensure compliance
with FERC policy directives and regulations.
--- Coordinate a diverse project team to respond to data requests
from FERC.
Preferred Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Regulatory Analyst:
0-2 years experience in state and/or federal regulatory and rate
setting process, or equivalent experience.
Basic regulatory knowledge
Effective analytical, computer, problem assessment and problem
solving skills.
Effective written, oral, and presentation skills.
Experience with Excel.
Ability to explain results of analysis and/or research.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate processes involving other
departments, and to ensure compliance with regulatory filing
requirements.
Regulatory Analyst:
2-5 years experience in state and/or federal regulatory and rate
setting process, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated regulatory knowledge.
Effective analytical, computer, problem assessment, and problem
solving skills.
Effective written, oral, and presentation skills.
Strong Excel skills.
Ability to evaluate and recommend courses of action, in response to
inquiries.
Sr. Regulatory Analyst:
5+ years experience in state and/or federal regulatory and rate
setting process, or equivalent experience.
Advanced regulatory knowledge.
Outstanding analytical, computer, problem assessment, and problem
solving skills.
Effective oral communication, written communication, presentation,
coaching, and teaching skills.
Strong Excel skills.
Ability to evaluate and recommend courses of action, in response to
inquiries.
Ability to be an expert witness.
Education: Bachelor (Typically four years of related, progressive
work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this
position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Preferred Degree: Business, Economics, or Mathematics
