professionals!
The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking full time
committed and compassionate Clinician I or II to join our Crisis
Stabilization Unit. The successful candidate will perform
intermediate professional work providing direct clinical service to
clients involving intake, assessing client needs, developing
treatment plans, providing prevention services , managing cases,
providing therapy, maintaining records and files, preparing
reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is
performed under the limited supervision of the assigned
supervisor.
Essential Functions
Performs triage of referrals, intakes, client assessments and
diagnostic interviews; conducts mental health and substance use
disorder assessments and monitors level of functioning.
Manages all clinical needs of CSU clients on assigned shift.
Assists client in identifying self-determined goals and jointly
prepare individualized service plan.
Develops and facilitates psycho-educational groups; provides
individual, family and group counseling; implements treatment
plans; coordinates daily treatment schedule.
Coordinates case management services; coordinates and links client
to community resources and medical services; interfaces with other
service providers and client support system.
Provides crisis intervention and prevention services to individuals
and families.
Provides consultation, education and prevention services.
Documents and charts information about client assessment,
individual service plans, progress notes, crisis education
prevention plan, discharge summaries and other client related data,
correspondence, medical records, etc; prepares and submits reports
as required.
Develops collaborative relationships with community partners.
Attends professional conferences and trainings as required.
Provides direct shift supervision of direct care staff in absence
of CSU supervisors and Manager.
Provides on call support 1 week per month.
Provides weekend coverage 1 weekend per month.
Works half of agency observed holidays.
Other duties as assigned.
Shifts: 1130a- 8pm
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
Required:
Master's degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or related
field from an accredited college with a least one-year experience
working with the seriously mentally ill. Two years' experience
working with dually diagnosed clients. The ability to work a
flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays, and evenings. Must
have excellent customer service skills.
Licensed MH Professionals Preferred.
License/ License Eligible
CASC Preferred.
Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Qualifying staff will be eligible for a $4K sign-on bonus as
defined by the terms and conditions of the approved sign-on bonus
policy.

Starting Salary Range
$60,873.82
