Description:
JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Under the direction of the Quality Group Leader, the Quality
Technician maintains methods and processes and assists in the
management of Supplier Qualification, nonconforming materials,
corrective actions, supplier quality audits, mathematical analysis
and statistical process for quality control in accordance with
company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Perform incoming inspection part analysis and 1st delivery
assessment materials/components according to written procedures and
specifications on drawings.
Carry out thorough independent final inspection of finished
assemblies to defined procedures, drawings & standards.
Act as a Coordinator when Performing a special Process and Product
Audits.
Supply data relevant for reports and quality improvements.
Coordinate non-conformance Materials (NCM) through the plant and
make sure that they are correctly labeled, registered in SAP and
excluded from production. Provide input for NCR Package NCM for
shipping.
Assist quality escalations as a team member & promote quality
culture and KPI's Goals on the production floor.
Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the internal Quality
Management system (ISO9001:2015).
Periodically inspect all components in all stages of the
manufacturing process to ensure adherence to inspection
protocol.
Ensure the completion and maintenance of all required paperwork,
Inspection, records, documentation, etc.
Assist in Blocked Stock, Quality Inspection Stock levels and
creates reporting documents.
Assist in continuous improvement activities and other duties as
required.
Other duties may be assigned.
Day to day responsibilities:
Improve the quality checklists and make them more functional
Implement (bi)yearly documentation check program
Assist the QT with improving their checklist
Based feedback from engineering
Based on re-occurring defects.
Own production defects improvements
Make sure that the data provided by QT is correct
Improve the efficiency of data collection
Design a data driven report that assist in quality improvement in
production.
Implement and maintain a system for quality improvement
actions.
Translate field defects to production improvements and coordinate
follow-up.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Requires an associate's degree in engineering technology and/or 3-5
years of progressively responsible related experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret specifications, technical
procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to read, analyze
and interpret documents such as material drawing packages,
international commodity/material standards, first article
inspection reports, supplier corrective action reports, supplier
metrics, audit forms, workmanship standards and assembly drawings.
Ability to communicate, oral and written, specifications, designs
and documentation. Ability to effectively present information and
respond to questions from managers, customers, suppliers and other
employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical
process control, probability, statistical inference, and
fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability
to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and
proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw
valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of
technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal
with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Requires a valid driver's license.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to analyze and interpret technical information including
part drawings, blueprints and GD&T drawings. Requires the
knowledge of and ability to operate and apply computers to
technical and quality problems. Requires the ability to operate a
variety of standard business machines, such as a computer and
keyboard, calculator, camera, telephone, FAX, photocopier, etc.
Requires the ability to operate a variety of electronic and
electrical test/measuring equipment and small hand and power tools.
Ability to work in a team environment and work on multiple
projects.
COMPLEXITY OF TASKS:
Requires knowledge of various equality support functions and
ability to respond to changing priorities. Requires high degree of
judgment and initiative to recognize and resolve complex problems,
develop methods and techniques and adapt to changes. Requires
strong communication skills to interface effectively with other
functional groups, suppliers and customers. Requires strong
technical and communication skills. Failure to properly complete
assigned tasks may result in delays and damage to manufacturing
operations.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING REQUIRED:
Requires the use of ESD equipment and high voltage shoes, safety
glasses and hearing protection as needed.
Top 3 hard must have skills:
Associate's degree (2 year) with 1 years' experience in
manufacturing or 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing
environment & QMS with GED.
Ability to interpret technical requirements as they apply to
quality inspections to determine whether documented requirements
and standards are met.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to analyze and interpret
technical information including part drawings, blueprints and
GD&T drawings. Requires the knowledge of and ability to operate
and apply computers to technical and quality problems, translate
production steps to relevant data.

occasionally loud or very loud.
