Job Description:
A company is looking for an Outpatient CDI Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct concurrent reviews of medical records to ensure accurate
clinical documentation
Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve documentation of
diagnoses and procedures
Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for outpatient encounters and ensure
coding accuracy
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree
in nursing required
Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 3 years of experience in
clinical, CDI, or coding fields
Active certification from AAPC, AHIMA, or ACDIS required; must
obtain within the first year if not held
Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and E/M coding guidelines
Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of
Nursing or compact state required
