Job Description:
We are excited to announce an opportunity for the role of
Purchasing Specialist. This position helps to purchase goods and
services as required through approved suppliers verifying price,
on-time delivery, compliance, and quality are met while adhering to
procurement policies and procedures.What you'll do---
- Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for
safety, quality, production, efficiency and service
requirements.
- Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe
products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations and meet
the company quality standards.
- Follow and commit to safety and Good Manufacturing Practices
(GMPs).
- Purchase Maintenance, Repair and Operating (MRO) goods and
services, and other materials, parts, supplies or services needed
by the plant or warehouse to ensure appropriate inventory
levels.
- Create non-inventory purchase orders and MRP driven purchase
orders, track requisitions, research, and resolve
discrepancies.
- Maintain relationships and communicate with local suppliers
and/or internal departments from requests through delivery.
- Create and manage purchase information records.
- File claims and track status for defective or returned
products, repairs, and warranties.
- Collaborate with corporate procurement to establish facility
service agreements for services such as janitorial, landscaping,
and/or repairs.
- Effectively utilize SAP purchase information record data, and
outline agreements, for source and pricing on all purchase
orders.
- Coordinate with plant leadership in seeking approval for
emergency orders.
- Resolve ageing purchase requests and purchase orders.
- Reconcile credit card (p-card) purchases.
- Maintain Certificates of Liability and Insurance, keep record
of current local supplier agreements, and annual local supplier
assessments.What you'll need...
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience purchasing goods and/or services for an
organization, purchasing for manufacturing and/or corporate
organization, preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to
communicate intricate job-related processes.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to
create reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS
Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize
workload to meet deadlines.
- Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks,
projects and priorities.
- Ability to meet safety and quality standards.
- Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes
demonstrated and other workplace procedures.Overview: Dart makes
