Job Description BAE Systems is looking for a dynamic,
self-motivated junior engineer to join our NATO Seasparrow Project
Office (NSPO) team in Arlington, VA. This exciting international
program includes 12 member nations, including the US. The selected
candidate will provide engineering, and programmatic support with a
focus on Fleet Support and Combat Systems Integration. The position
responsibilities include-
- Provide programmatic support on the development/maintenance of
Evolved SEASPARROW Missile (ESSM) Block 2 Interface Control
Documents (ICDs), Interface Design Documents (IDDs), and Interface
Design Specifications (IDSs).Provide Configuration and Data
Management (CM/DM) support for externally produced interface
documentation and coordinate completion/delivery with external
stakeholders including combat system, launching system, missile
canister, and radar system design agents.Provide general
engineering and programmatic support for variety of missile
integration related Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests
for Action (RFAs).Review technical documents, write technical
letters, and prepare technical presentations for both technical and
non-technical audiences.Draft, review, and present Engineering
Change Proposals (ECPs) to the Configuration Control Board (CCB) as
required.Support and coordinate interface Working Groups (WGs) and
Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) between engineering teams at
various contractor and government organizations.Required Education,
Experience, & Skills The successful candidate must have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
(Systems, industrial, electrical, and/or RF engineering),
Mathematics, Physics, or other technical field.Basic engineering
knowledge about software implementation and RF systems in order to
understand complex topics of discussionKnowledge in development and
maintenance of interface specifications between combat systems and
weaponsKnowledge in requirements development, validation, and
verificationStrong oral and written communication skills (Requires
a lot of discussion virtually with people all over the world).
Ability to work with multiple customers and balance multiple
prioritiesAbility to travel internationally as required by the
customerCurrent Secret (or higher) US government security
clearanceExperience working in a classified environment including
printing, transporting, storing, and/or distributing classified
material.Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, SharePoint,
and other collaborative tools such as Teams, Power BI,
etc.Experience working in an office setting (Basic understanding of
Email systems etc.) Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience working naval combat
system integrationKnowledge of Aegis combat systemKnowledge of Ship
Self Defense System (SSDS)Knowledge of weapons RF links and
protocolsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $61820 -
$105050Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
