OverviewMUST BE A US CITIZENTOP SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIREDWORK TO BE PERFORMED ONSITE IN WASHINGTON, DCSoft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Jr. Software Tester (508 Compliance) for one of our clients. The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing support and expertise necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables, and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting status/progress.Responsibilities

• Responsible for auditing a suite of 36 modules for accessibility compliance. While auditing a module, you will document concerns as stories in JIRA. You will also attend design sessions as the accessibility advocate.
• Provide expertise in the planning, constructing, and execution of test scripts.
• Apply business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology to meet the team's overall test objectives.
• Ensure all testing results are easily accessible and understandable.
• Track defects to closure and keep defect repository up-to-date.Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree, or 2 years work experience, or an Associate's Degree with 3 years experience
• Experience with JAWS, ANDI, and WAVE
• Experience with the WCAG success criterion
• Experience with accessibility auditing and documenting remediation plans
• Certified DHS Trusted Tester
• Experience with JIRA/CONFLUENCE
• Working knowledge of the SAFe methodology
• Experience with Pega
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to work independently, with minimal oversight.
