federal grants and government relations firm headquartered in
Washington, D.C., that helps nonprofit clients from the higher
education, healthcare, and local government sectors reach their
federal funding and legislative advocacy goals.MM seeks a Director
of Client Services and Grant Management who will deliver
exceptional service, manage a client portfolio, as well as develop
and execute appropriations and grant strategies that support
clients' goals.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support MM's client services team in leading client projects
and grant management. Facilitate services to clients in sectors
such as municipal government, healthcare, higher education,
nonprofits, and technology.
- Build relationships with clients and identify competitive
federal grant and appropriations opportunities that align with
their funding needs.
- Manage deliverables for client projects, from strategy to grant
submissions, and coordinate workflow among team members to ensure
timely delivery.
- Support the professional growth of Government Relations
Associates (GRAs).
- Communicate directly and professionally with clients by phone,
email, and in person.Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's
degree is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a
minimum of six (6) years of experience in a client-facing
role.
- Strong familiarity with the federal budget and appropriations
process, including experience with agency discretionary spending
(federal grants).
- Competitive candidates will have prior experience working with
federal discretionary grants (Federal Agency), Congressional
Appropriations, nonprofit organizations, and/or the private
sector.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
- Ability to quickly synthesize and accurately summarize lengthy
and complex materials, such as federal grant solicitations and
legislation.
- Ability to manage and provide training to associate-level
employees and consultants.
- Self-motivated, task-oriented, and able to work independently
and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Full-time, salaried position based in Washington, D.C., with
opportunity for travel.

- Compensation range: $100,000-$135,000, commensurate with
