Job DescriptionD'Leon Consulting Engineers is seeking a
Construction Manager in Seattle, WA.We are seeking a dynamic and
experienced Construction Manager to oversee the construction phase
of a large infrastructure transportation project. The ideal
candidate will ensure that all project activities are executed
efficiently, safely, and in compliance with design specifications,
budget, and timeline. This role involves leadership, technical
expertise, and effective communication with project teams and
stakeholders.Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of construction activities, including site
preparation, material procurement, and construction execution.
- Ensure that the project adheres to engineering designs,
specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain construction schedules to ensure
timely project delivery.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to
align activities with the overall project timeline.
- Supervise and provide guidance to on-site personnel, including
engineers, inspectors, and contractors.
- Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability
among project teams.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with
quality standards and specifications.
- Address non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions
as needed.
- Liaise with clients, government agencies, and other
stakeholders to provide updates on construction progress.
- Address concerns and resolve conflicts effectively to maintain
positive relationships
- Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including
daily logs, progress reports, and inspection results.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports for clients and
management.
- Monitor construction budgets, track expenditures, and approve
invoices and change orders.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
or safety.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction
Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in construction management
for large infrastructure or transportation projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, Construction Management
Certification (e.g., CCM), or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and
equipment for transportation projects.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore,
Primavera P6, Bluebeam).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving
skills.
