Job Description:
This position is contingent upon Customer approval, funding, and
position availability.POSITION SUMMARYAmentum seeks a qualified,
solutions and results-oriented candidate to serve as a Project
Director in anticipation of an award. The Project Director provides
overall technical and management leadership and expertise to the
project and serves as the primary liaison with USAID on management
and technical matters. As the project's most senior leader, he
guides the project scale-up and serves as the primary liaison in
developing the project's extended network by building and
maintaining relationships with all partners and USAID missions and
bureaus. The Project Director will ensure compliance with USAID
rules and regulations and GHSCA policies.DUTIES:
- Develop strategic plans, set objectives, and ensure the
successful execution of the program;
- Work closely with in-country partners, government agencies, and
implementing partners to ensure effective collaboration and
coordination in the delivery of diagnostic services;
- Ensure that the project meets, and exceeds, results as
established and negotiated with client;
- Manage relationship with USAID/Washington, other key USAID
missions and bureaus, network specialist providers, and other
supply chain and pharmaceutical management stakeholders;
- Ensure successful collaboration between network providers and
USAID and key in-country stakeholders;
- Mentor, lead, and oversee all staff, consultants, and
subcontractors in achieving project results; Provide quality
oversight of work contracted and completed by subcontractors in
coordination with the management team;
- Coordinate project activities with those of other USAID NextGen
suite implementers and other donor initiatives; Oversee the
development, production, and submission of all project
deliverables.REQUIREMENTS:
- Have at least fifteen (15) years of demonstrated leadership in
managing large, complex programs, which includes experience as a
Community of Practice Lead, Team Leader or Project Director.
- Have extensive knowledge of USAID policies, procedures and
approaches related to project design/implementation, budgeting,
monitoring and evaluation.
- Possess technical expertise in diagnostic testing for HIV/AIDS
and related diseases.
- Have a strong understanding of laboratory systems,
point-of-care testing, quality assurance, and data management in
the context of HIV/AIDS diagnostics.
- Possess substantial technical experience with projects and
partners working in the health sector, particularly supply chain
and pharmaceutical management.
- Have a proven ability to cultivate effective working
relationships to engage with the senior government and its
counterparts at the national and sub-national levels, as well as
other key stakeholders such as donors, other implementing partners,
Non-Governmental Organizations, and civil society.
- Possess an ability to establish and maintain working
relationships with internal/external business partners and
government agencies.
- Demonstrate strong networks within the private sector and
development industries.
- Demonstrate an ability to work in complex environments and
manage diverse and substantial teams to deliver impact.Education:
Possess a Master's degree or advanced degree in public health,
business administration, supply chain management, international
development, or related field.Language Skills: Proficiency in
