We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer I to manage, maintain, and
optimize our Denodo data virtualization platform. The ideal
candidate will have strong technical expertise in Denodo, data
integration, and software development. You'll be part of a growing
team responsible for the design, documentation, implementation, and
support of an assortment of projects, and a key player on a
multidisciplinary team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Installation, configuration,
and maintenance of Denodo platform, including upgrades and security
management.
Design and implement data virtualization layers using Denodo for
data consumption via a variety of integration methods, including
API calls and web services.
Develop and optimize Denodo views, procedures, and
transformations.
Establish and maintain governance processes, best practices, and
documentation.
Implement load balancing, caching, and backup strategies.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and errors.
Collaborate with technical teams to develop new solutions and
integrate Denodo with additional systems.
Collaborate with business teams to develop new views and data
models.
Create and manage ETL processes and data pipelines.
Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
Provide technical support and training to end-users.
Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Strong knowledge of data virtualization concepts and
architecture.
Proficiency in SQL, XML, and web services APIs.
Experience with ETL tools and processes.
Familiarity with Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
Understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence
concepts.
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
May be asked to participate in an afterhours on call support
rotation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or
related field and 2-4 years of experience. However, a combination
of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. 3+
years of experience with Denodo Platform (version 7.0 or higher)
preferred
Preferred Qualifications: Denodo Platform Certified Developer or
Administrator certification.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of Python and Java programming languages.
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
