Certification Director in the Glen Allen, Virginia area. Patient

*The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to
the following:*
* Facilitate communication between affiliated training vendors and
Patient First instructors;
* Work with the Training Specialists to schedule American Heart
Association (AHA) classes;
* Work with Senior Regional Trainers (SRTs) and Assistant Senior
Regional Trainers (ASRTs) to ensure students are appropriately
assigned to instructors;
* Coordinate additional instructors or equipment with training
vendor as needed;
* Prepare instructor candidates to take the instructor classes in
BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses;
* Serve as Course Director and Training Facility Faculty
Member;
* Teach instructor classes for AHA classes;
* Track and monitor instructor progress for re-certification of
instructor's status;
* Work with the Senior HR Training Director to coordinate equipment
needs and distribution of supplies needed for classes in all
regions;
* Coordinating the purchase of new supplies needed for classes;
* Train instructors in other classes as needed;
* Monitor and maintain training equipment as needed;
* Maintain BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor certification.
* Maintain Course Director and Training Facility Faculty status in
BLS, ACLS, and PALS;
* Keep materials relating to Code Drill and AHA classes up to date
with current guidelines;
* Teach classes including, but not limited to, EKG Recognition, IV,
Foley Catheter Insertion, Special Documentation Classes, and Nurse
progressive classes as needed;
* Train new Nurse Supervisors;
* Facilitate monthly code cart reviews at regional offices;
* Communicate AHA scheduling needs with instructors;
* Ensure AHA instructor information and testing materials are kept
secure;
* Ensure instructors are up-to-date with current materials and
information;
* Create and update training material including Code Drill, Nurse
Progressive, The Brain, and Supervisor training material;
* Maintain current testing material for treatment area and training
staff competency;
* Create training classes for employee education as directed;
* Serve as a lead trainer to teach new classroom trainers;
* Serve as a member of the Nurse Impact Committee;
* Attend relevant training conferences.
*Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are
not limited to, the following:*
* BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor certification (preferred);
* BLS, ACLS, and PALS Course Director and Training Facility Faculty
status (preferred);
* Registered Nurse with license to practice by the state in which
employed as required;
* Excellent visual, verbal, written, and typed communication skills
required;
* Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
(possibly 4-7 hours at a time);
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and
weekends;
* Ability to travel to all training locations for extended periods
of time where Patient First is located;
* Must be able to lift moderate to heavy items (up to 50 lbs.);
* Must be able to work independently;
* Ability to work with highly confidential matters;
* Minimum of five years of Patient First experience
(preferred);
* Must be 18 years of age or older.

Salary Range: $85,000 to $110,000 - depending on experience.
