Job Description:
Accounts Payable Specialist
The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in
ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of vendor invoices
and payments. This position requires a detail-oriented individual
with a strong understanding of accounts payable principles and
practices. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate
records, resolving discrepancies, and fostering positive
relationships with vendors.
Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
--- Receive, verify, and process invoices for accuracy and
completeness, including matching purchase orders and receiving
documents.
--- Enter and process vendor invoices into the accounting system in
a timely/accurate manner.
Payment Management:
--- Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire
transfers).
--- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment
discrepancies.
FinancialReporting and Compliance:
--- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
--- Assist with audits as needed.
--- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records.
Qualifications:
--- Understanding fundamental accounting principles and
bookkeeping
--- Familiarity with debits and credits.
--- Knowledge of invoice processing, payment procedures, and
reconciliation.
--- Familiarity with purchase order processes.
--- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
